Martin Galpin debut's new suspension to win the 2007 Formula Vee Championship opening round

A better day greeted the Formula Vee contingent than the opening fixture here in 2006.

Qualifying is a hectic affair for the two Martins, Farmer and Galpin, each having there own problems and only complete half the number of laps available. Sam Oliveira claims Pole closely followed by Martin G and Martin F.  Danny Hands with minimal testing with his new GAC and Jamie Conyers reverting back from the short chassis make it four GAC's in the top seven.

After a red flag incident in the final, the restart finds the two Martins fighting it out for the lead and potential win. Whilst dicing for the lead the two touch wheels and a tyre valve is damaged on Farmers car leaving him with a deflating tyre. Galpin takes a deserved win and Farmer struggles, nearly losing the car twice through devils elbow. Grateful for his early pace Farmer claims third. Danny Hands fights a down on power engine to come home fifth closely followed in eighth by Jamie Conyers
